For 1992, the Mazda Navajo, which was actually a slightly redesigned and rebadged Ford Explorer, was available in two trim levels. A base DX model came in both two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive versions, as did the higher-end LX model. Power was provided by a 155-horsepower, 4.0-liter V6 engine. A five-speed manual transmission was standard across the line, while a four-speed automatic was optional on the LX models. Standard features for the Mazda Navajo included power brakes, power steering, rear-wheel anti-lock brakes, 15-inch wheels, and an AM/FM stereo system. The LX added power windows and power door locks.
