my first Dakota I had was a 95 sport club cab 4x4 that I bought in 96 with 40k, I sold it with great sorrow in 06 due to increasing rust (she spent all but the last year in N.H.) I left her with almost 200k of hard use, she still ran strong. about 2 weeks ago I picked up a 92 2wd club cab (rust free, Heaven) this one has the same V6 but this time backed with an AT instead, other than a few small repairs that where easy to do she is a very young 200k. I plan on having this one for quite a while. My first 'Kota developed my fondness for the gen 1 'Kota and my present one continues to solidify those feelings. Perfect size, good performance, good mpg, comfy ride and if you take care of her, she'll take care of you.

interior is well put together, good options for this year. Manual shifter gives you quite a bit of torque into 3rd gear.
