Braking is excellent, handling is fantastic as is trademark to all Saabs. Car is nonturbo, so acceleration is modest. Car is built like a vault without the pig-iron feel of a Volvo. Gets great gas milage and is very easy to repair at home. It is always a blast to drive.

Perfect first car. I drove the hell out of that thing all through high school. At times I hated it, thought it was ugly, but you can't help falling in love with a Saab. This thing had tons of room inside, with the seats folded down I could almost close the hatch with a full size refrigerator in the back! I wish mine had been as nice as the one in the pic.
