Overview

No significant changes to the Cabriolet in 1986. Two trims were available this year, the base and Wolfsburg convertibles.
A 1.8-liter, 4-cylinder, 90-hp engine and 5-speed manual transmission were standard on the front-wheel drive Cabriolet, and a 3-speed auto tran was available. The fun little convertible sat four and really only came with standard features. Purely for pleasure driving, it had only 6 cubic feet of trunk space.
Owners love the way this car drives and handles, but find repairs bothersome and find it difficult to locate a competent German car mechanic. Still, the fun of having a convertible seems to make drivers forget everything else.

VOLKSWAGEN GOLF CABRIOLET 1.8 GL The good engine, similar to GTI, is nice to use. With 24 years old, is very solid and with no noises. Exception to some aerodinamic noise over 100km/h About the looks is it necessary to say something?... ok... IT'S SO COOL ;) With plenty of used parts in the after market, it's not dificult to mantain this car. If you ask me if it is fun to drive, I say YESSS... but avoid dificult parking! eheh!
