Overview

Celica 1985 GT-S is not a car, it's an experience.
It taught me one of life's most invaluable lessons: that inanimate objects can be loved! What else can you ask from a car?
I bought it with 180K miles and it still handled like new. Being incredibly tight around turns it was an answer for those of us who hate slowing down, especially when making a turn.
Three layers of individually inflatable air sections don't just support your back, they treat it like family.
Did I mention the car saved my life by not flipping over when I performed a 360 degree turn on a major highway going 80 m/h? How many cars care that much?
I know you are not supposed to say bad things about the deceased but for the sake of objectivity: the rear wheel drive and wide tires made winter driving adrenaline rich. Maybe a little too rich. There I've said it. Now I will go into my corner and ask for forgiveness.

"Planned Obsolescence"? Not with this car. Love at first sight, I bought this car right off of the showroom floor in 1985 and I have maintained it like my life mattered on it's existence. Looks showroom new I will never sell or trade in this car, because I doubt I will ever find another car as reliable and as overall excellent as this car has been to me.

First of all, I LOVE this car! I love the way it performs, I love the feel, etc. I bought it as a project car with a LOT wrong with it. Still have a few more mechanical things to do and then of course cosmetic. I know when it's done - she will be a dream :)

As of now ive overhauled almost the whole interior, freshended up the 303,000 mile engine, and i have some handeling goodies that will give a mini cooper a run for its money, plus a rwd torquey toyota is always fun.
