My car is extremely unique, very solid, built extremely well, performance is amazing but the acceleration could be a little better, but overall I love.

Reviewed a 1981 Cadillac Seville on Jan 6, 2008

The second year of the controversial yet graceful "bustleback" model, the 1981 Seville is a huge American sedan that is both imposing and impressive. Cadillac was the ultimate in luxury in those days and no expense was spared on this example; full leather trim and a list of features longer than my arm, many arguably years ahead of their time. With its enormous 6-8-4 fuel-injected engine, the Seville is capable of some pretty fair grunt, but there were problems with these engines back in the old days (it was a great idea in theory), so this is not a car to go hooning around in - not that it's really possible anyway, as it is virtually a landbarge, weighing over 2 tonnes! While mass production in the States, this is an extremely rare car in Australia, and was expertly converted from left to right-hand drive and sold here new in 1981. An absolute head-turner, this will be a classic for many years to come.
