Pontiac offered a Trans Am in all four generations of the Firebird. The latest fourth-gen car ran from 1993 to 2002, and the WS6 Performance Package was reintroduced in 1996 and ran through the last model year. The key point of the WS6 package was the Ram Air hood with dual air intakes that helped boost the horsepower of the 5.7-liter LS1 V8 (after 1997) to 305 hp. The package also included suspension upgrades that helped the car make the most use out of the horsepower.
