Being all stock the performance is weak, since it was built during the smog era. Very good looking cars, and they ride like a dream.

This was the first car I ever owned/bought myself. I LOVED this car! 351 Windsor 2brl carb that could take out the best of the best off the line. Can't tell you how many times I thoroughly enjoyed taking some hotshot in a newer muscle or sports car at the red lights. 1979 Cougar: $900 Look on smartarses face when I dusted 'em: priceless Hate that I had to give up that car, but it came down to thousands to fix it (motor, tranny, & rearend finally going - this state gets the best of a vehicle) OR let the dealer give us over a grand (can you believe?!) to trade it in on a newer truck. The latter made more sense... But if another one should cross my path and I have the means to buy, that baby is mine!
