performance - 3spd auto.. fair speed loads of power build quality - Its ford... superior appearance - its a classic... respect cost of ownership - huge! gas guzzler but parts are cheap and kinda easy to find fun factor - most cumfortable drive... ford forever

The fuel injected 2.8 litre V6 needed to be kept on the revs, but if it was it was quite fun, and it was pretty fast as well. The automatic transmission was quick as well, but turned out to be a bit fragile. Roomy and comfortable as all Consuls/Granadas were, making it a nice highway cruiser that colud be used even on twistier roads. Quality was not great, not even close to the 1973 Granada I once owned.

Owned car whilst living in the East end of London, so lots of litter strewn streets to screech through and shout "shut it, you're bang to rights!" etc V6 was sweet enough, but even before the head gaskets got into a habit of blowing, couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding and found it even harder to light up the back wheels! Find a wet and greasy suburban corner, drop down a gear, turn in, lift off and then chocks away - bingo, you're starring in a 70's cop show. Great fun and comfortable to cruise in.
