so, this is me and my dad's project car: a 1973 Datsun 240Z. its in pretty good shape for a car of its age. the engine is the stock 150 hp inline-6 with twin four-barrel sidedraft carbs. the engine is pretty much stock, although the carbs, exhaust headers and valves are aftermarket. its very fast, and it handles like a ferrari. it probably looks like its in great shape in the picture, but it needs some work. I'm in the process of rebuilding the engine with all performance parts, and we're completely overhauling the interior. We're gonna repaint it to royal blue with two white stripes down the middle. it'll be a monster when it's done!

This was the last 240Z to be sold out of Singapore. It was tricked out by the dealer (along with a gold 260Z 'sister' car) with steel flares, 8 inch American mags and front and rear spoilers. Both cars were purchased by New Zealand Airforce personel and brought to New Zealand. Once here, the 240Z engine was re-built by legendary Datsun builder Reg Cook. The head was radically shaved, race cam installed, blue-printed and balanced with tuned headers and a large diameter truck exhaust (big bnore exausts were unknown then). The engine would rev to over 9000 rpm. Nismo struts were installed in front with valved Konis in the back. It lived up to it's name, being able to top out at 240kph. The gold sister 260Z later had a v8 engine installed and is still believed to live in the mid North Island of New Zealand.

No other car compares to this groundbreaking vehicle. Very quick and handles great with 50/50 weight balance

This car has been well maintained and it shows in the way it looks and drives. I would like a little more power from the car, but who doesn't want that?
