As far as classic cars go, the 72 Lincoln Continental Mark IV is a bargain. With good examples usually under 20 k ( though prices are creeping up for excellent low mile examples ) these cars were loved when new and usually babied by their adoring owners. Mine was always garage kept and only racked up 21000 miles in 50 years . With enough power to move you down the road with stately if not blistering speed, the Mark IV of 72 has the most HP of any Mark there after, and to me it is the most elegantly clean and sleek model year, before those clean looks were spoiled by the impact bumper mandate. Parts are readily available, since the car usees Fords venerable 460 big-block paired with a C6 auto., and luckily almost 49,000 were produced in 72’ alone. It was popular model launch for Ford and many parts cross fit 73 through 76 Marks. 1972 is a sweet spot year, giving face to the late 1960s paired down design speak while embracing the disco bling of what was to come. The 1972 Mark IV defined personal luxury then, and still does today.

I like the fact that it is a Ford product, Ford was the only company that didn't look for a hand out when times were hard. Hard to find diagrams of the wiring and vacuum hoses, but they will come in time with the help of friends on the Web.

I know that it pumps a lot of gas it must be like 5 miles/gal but the car is so nice, its like two normal cars long and a hummer wide. Seats made of suede, all the options you have on a 2000's car. It has a 572 sq.in. engine under the hood.
