Overview

The 1971 Blazer continued on the success of its predecessors. The K5 remained available as a two- or four-wheel drive short-wheelbase SUV. New for 1971 were front-disk brakes, replacing the front and rear drum brakes that had been installed until that time.
The standard engine remained a 4.1-liter, 250-ci I6. 1971 was the last year of the 4.8-liter, 292-ci I6 option. The two V8 options were still available as well: a 5.0 liter, 307-ci and a 5.7-liter 350-ci.
Many of these trucks can still be seen on the road today. They tend to resist rust better than a few others, and are popular restoration projects. Many parts are available.

I just received this Blazer from my brother on April 14th so i haven't had a chance to put it throught the paces and it has a broken upper left rear shock mounting bracket, so if you know where to find one id be greatful. The handling sucks it drifts all over the road I just have to get used to it or its just the broken shock mount throwing it off kilter.
