My first car was a Ford Escort Mk1, the one showed in the picture, and it was one of the first models that were imported in Malta, in 1968. I bought it from an old man who had owned it from new and I loved it. I then had to sell it since i bought the Fiat and couldn't afford to keep two cars. I still regret selling it though...keep in mind that when i bought it in 2005 it had 37 years, and it was still original, running on its original engine....and it served me for a year and a half without a fault. I totally reccomend it to motoring enthusiasts who want to have real fun driving a car...especially with the legendary 1.6 pushrod engine. Tune it up (weber sidedraughts, uprated intake/exhaust manifolds, race camshaft, higher compression pistons and lightened flywheel) and it would develop approx 150 bhp easily. Fantastic car!

you cannot beat an old classic when done right they always turn heads, plus you can hear it coming a mile off. It takes me back to my youth it handles great perfomance is good and just a fun car to drive.

its actually a 66' mk 1 ford escort it runs a 1.6 litre its baby blue and right now im getting some seat brackets done so then i can install its new carpet not fast but it goes which is all i need

Totally standard and un modified. I loved this so much. Sold it though as it was just too good. Some bloke went and modded it up to the hilt. Bad move!
