400hp V8 with 4 Wheel manual drum brakes, no A/C, manual steering, and a 4-speed on the floor make this car an adventure!

My dad and I bought it for $250 as scrap because he had a field of cars and needed money. He and his dad bought it from a guy in Mexico in 1968 and they drag raced it until his dad died in 1971. He just parked it and it was sitting ever since. Once we got it home we brushed some of the dirt off it and decided it looked like a good father-son project car. After a couple weeks work we finally got it running and it roared like it was back in its glory day on the track. We then gutted the interior and have begun to actually restore the car. I can't wait to get this boss street legal and blazing.

The best thing about this car is that there aren't many out there like it; and my dad and I have a lot of hours together working on it. After my dad restored it for Christmas 2009 it's almost just like I like it. Just need new front suspension, big block, stock looking 15" steel rims and some interior finishing up (I want leather and tweed).

This was my first car and thankfully I only had it for about 6 months before I got my '69 Cougar. 3 speed, stick on the column, held together with rust, holes in the floorboard, but what the hell, for $100.00 Bucks, what 'd ya expect. As Jimmy Buffett once said "That today, some shoes cost more than my first vehicle", Try and find something with 4 wheels that runs for 100 Bucks today, Forget about it!
