Great car. Very quick too! For a huge car, this thing gets up and goes. Our's has a 406 with 3 -2barrel carburetors. It's got 13.5:1 compression. We'll be putting in lower gears and a posi unit later.

The 19631/2 Ford Galaxie 500 XL Sport Hardtop, with a 390 engine and four speed trans. and bucket seats and console is still the greatest car ever mounted on four wheels. Everything about it is first class. From the outstanding roof line to the full cover hub caps to the beautiful interior to the good looking tail end, it is still the best looking car to ever come off any assembly line!

I done a complete frame off restore, built engine, tran,&3rd member my self ,with help from my son and 1 brother.it placed at Texas Autorama car show in 2003. the interior is charcoal which,goes very well with the pearl white paint. I am 70 years old & still love the snap it has
