Deceptive "Bait and Switch" Tactics and Hostile Management. I am writing this review to warn other buyers—especially those traveling from out of town—about the deceptive practices at Port Lavaca Ford. I didn’t leave because we couldn’t make a deal; I left because I was purposefully misled and then mistreated. The Setup (March 12th – 23rd): I began inquiring about a 2025 Ford F-150 (Stock #: FB08269) through CarGurus. This truck had been on the lot for nearly a year and had 810 miles on it (essentially a demo/loaner). After an initial salesperson told me there was "no wiggle room," I was contacted by Internet Sales. She apologized for the previous interaction and explicitly stated multiple times—via phone and text—that the price and dealer add-ons were negotiable and they wanted to move this 2025 model. Everything was on but I felt car was over priced.

Very friendly and helpful staff but when I was ready to deal, they presented a deal that included about $2000 in absolutely made up charges. Other dealers charge for documents fee, inventory tax, etc. but it usually is $400 - $500 not $2000 on a 4 year old vehicle. This is in addition to the state sales tax. I would still buy the truck if they would drop these ridiculous charges that are at least $1500 more than other dealers.

Emily was great. I believe she was the best part of the experience. However, I didn’t realize the car was $6k more than advertised on car gurus. The dealership had a “fine print” on their website that stated they were passing off the repairs after the trade in to the buyer, and with a mandatory tire package and ceramic coating and tint .
