i have an 99 alero and it was crashed before i got it and wanted to know if the rear lower shock plate should over lap the tire in anyway

the plate sits about 2 inches above the tire but comes over the tire by about 4 inches or so. the car was rear-ended and the person i got it from said not all the repairs were done.

It will never be the same....call it "totalled" and get a new one in the color you like with the features you like~ once the geometry is altered....even with lazer alignment will never get to where it once was~
