Why do I have to pull onthe driver side door handle 2-3 times to get the door to open?

Since the car is fairly new, I doubt the striker on the door pillar is work. See if the plastic tube around the striker is still there. Compare it to the other doors. If it is not, the striker will have to be replaced. The door can also be misaligned with the striker. If so, the striker can be realigned by loosening it with a hex key and moving toward the inside of the vehicle or outside. Question: Does the outside handle have resistance when trying to open like the other doors? If not, you may have a problem with the handle mechanism. It should move easily upward until it reaches the point where it unlocks the door, compare it to the others. If not, the handle probably has to be replaced.
