Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan and it is completely dead.  No power to
the vehicle at all.  The key won't even insert into the vehicle at all.   Not
mechanically inclined at all.  What could possibly be the problem so I can get it
towed to the right place?

Original battery? I had this happen yesterday. Running fine. Came out to go to store. Nothing. Key wouldn't turn at first. Fibally, I got it to on position. Dash lights flickered on and off. Checked cables, tried charger and jump starting, and got a weak clicking sound, but not enough to start. My battery was original, so I took a shot and picked up a new one. Put new battery in. Now, it's fine again! I too know nothing about these new computer filled cars, but I got lucky. (I do know that batteries can fail from coating on plates coming loose and shorting out a cell. When this happens, battery will not take a charge and is junk) Hope this helps.

Yeah, it was definitely the battery area but not the battery. The reason I panicked is because I knew I had just bought a new battery a few months ago...a premium battery at that. What it was, the terminal connector was loose. It didn’t look loose at all but when AAA came to give me a jump he noticed the terminal was extremly loose and could not be fully tightened.
