Engine swap

crate motor , it's usually best to go with what the vehicle was designed for
I work at a Ford dealership and priced one today for the same vehicle. The engine assembly is $4600 and comes with most everything except the fuel system parts and the coils. 24 month unlimited mileage warranty. Labor to install is extra. You really have no options except a rebuilt engine or a used engine. Used engines, especially the 24 valve 5.4, may have serious issues and I would avoid them.
I don't want to put same 5.4 back in it. There's nothing else out there?
If I can only put a 5.4 in it, does it have to be a 2007? I've found several 5.4, what years will work?
Amanda, I just paid $3,200 for a re-manufactured 5.4L from Fraser Engines. They and Jasper Engines completely bulletproof the motors with re-engineered solutions. They are the official FORD re-manufacturing companies. They have 7 year/100k mile warranties and 10+horsepower over OEM. All of the issues with the 5.4L engine have been addressed and corrected. They are great engines. Don't be afraid to put a 5.4L in if it's been re-manufactured. I did my research on this.
Ok I have a 97 f150 with burnt valve it is the 4.6l v8 can I swap with a 4.6 cobra mustang motor?
Hey have a 2003 F150 Lariat with the 5.4 liter Tritan engine with possible blown head gaskets .Thinking of changing engine and found a 1999 5.4 Tritan Jasper remanufactered for sale good price. Contacted my mechanic and he’s not sure if it will match up , thinking it’s due to which tranny bolts to it. My tranny is the 4r70w. Is this what I need to know if the engine will be compatible or is there more?
I hope you did *not* go with powertrain products. I have one from them and the warranty they advertise? It's complete garbage. The specific reason is there's a lot in my 3 valve 5.4 triton that's operated by oil pressure. The cam rides on oil there is no cam bearings. If there is no oil its the cam rides on the head itself. So my 3 valve 5.4 triton should be used exclusively with synthetic oil. Powertrain products motors aren't machined properly. They suggest using conventional oil only. However the same properties Powertrain products wants you to use conventional oil are the same properties that'll make the engine go bad. I've got to check my coolant once every two weeks and clean the vanilla pudding from my oil cap.

I got a 2000 Ford F150 with a 4.2 motor V6 I want to know can I put a EcoBoost V8 in it swap
An EcoBoost V-8? There is no such thing. Stick with the 4.2. Also this thread is a year old...
is it possibel to swap out a 1997 4.6 windsor for a 2003 f150 lightning motor 5.4 and bolt in to 4x4?
i cannot see the answer
There were two different plants making two different versions of the Triton and they will not directly interchange!
what would be the easiest way to find out about that so could maske the swap happen?

I have a 06 F150 4x4 XLT Crewcab with Triton 5.4. Was wanting to know what year motors and transmissions will interchange. The motors is weak and overdrive is out on the transmission.

has anyone tried replacing a 2006 ford f150 5.4 triton with a 2011 ford f150 4.6?
I bought a 2006 F150 Lariat 4x4 with 5.4 Triton V8 engine. It runs... barely. I would like to know if I can put a non-3 valve 5.4 or 4.6 in this truck without major complications ?!?! Can anyone advise ??? Thanks
