Turns off in drive when stopping

Hi I have a Mercedes c240 1998 and when it is in
drive and I stop at the lights it turns off. It idles
perfect in neutral, reverse and park but when in
drive it konks out. It drives fine and as long as I
keep the revs up it will keep on going.

Those mercedes drive great but need regular shop attention, sorry heavy on serious maintenance

Thank you for you reply. it starts again straight away with out any problems. Could the gearbox oil be low?
