My car temp gauge goes into overheating when the AC is on. Seems to stay more stable when off. The fan stays on for a while after car is shut off...any suggestions?

Could be a couple of things,water pump,radiator stopped up,thermostat going bad.

The cooling fan will stay on to cool down the radiator- have your cooling system checked if the car is overheating-
