2002 jag x type abs was acting up by grabbing wheels when brake applied.

back yard mechanic remove fuse to stop abs from operating by grabbing wheels. now
transmission is acting up with gear box fault. are the two problems related. did the
removal of the abs fuse cause gear box fault. dealer says abs module not responding and
to replace module. also say need new transmission.  help

with abs, you will need to find a front-yard mechanic- and do not trust the dealer-
