Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1995 Saturn SL2 sedan, 5 speed manual with 140,000 miles on it. From a start from a stop or low speed there is a rattle coming from somewhere. But if I go feather light on the throttle I cant hear anything out of the ordinary. Should I be concerend?

Possibly might be your exhaust gas resonator. I had the same problem on my 1998 SL2. The noise drove me nuts so eventually I had it cut out and replaced with a straight pipe. If the noise doesn't bother you, keep driving, in my opinion.

could b exhaust either the actual exhaust pipes or the heat shields above the exhaust touching and rattling or could b your motor mounts or tranny mounts can b shot.
