Please confirm it is not trans fluid. Trans fluid leak is a common problem for your year model
Your Ram 2500 should be running when you check your transmission fluid level, otherwise the transmission fluid level on the transmission fluid dipstick will not be accurate. The video I am sending you shows how to fix minor transmission fluid leaks in a 1997 Dodge Ram 2500. If you have automatic transmission problems in your Ram 2500, ie: it hesitates when shifting gears or seems sluggish shifting from one gear to the next (1st to 2nd gear, 2nd to 3rd gear, 3rd to 4th gear, etc.) check your transmission fluid level first. Unscrupulous mechanics will often suggest a more expensive repair, such as a rebuild, when adding some transmission fluid will fix your Ram 2500. If, after adding transmission fluid, you notice that your fluid level is low again, follow the steps highlighted in the video above to fix the transmission fluid leaks in your Ram 2500. In Dodge's desire for more performance and better fuel economy, Dodge has been developing innovative transmissions on a regular basis. Therefore it is important to use the exact type of transmission fluid stipulated by your Ram 2500's owner's manual. Many vehicles with manual transmissions do not have a dipstick and their fluid level should be checked by an automotive technician as the car will likely need to be hoisted on a lift.

Now if it really is a coolant leak.......watch this video.....on how to fix https://www.carcarekiosk.com/video/1997_Dodge_Ram_2500_5.9L_V8_Standard_Cab_Pickup/coolant_antifreeze/fix_leaks
Follow the steps in this video to see how to fix minor coolant (antifreeze) leaks in your 1994-7 Dodge Ram 2500. Leaking coolant is one of the more common types of fluid leaks on Ram 2500s. Engine coolant (which is also called antifreeze or anti-freeze) moves through the inside of your Ram 2500's engine and keeps it from overheating. Coolant can leak from the reservoir or from the hoses, in 1997 Ram 2500s with the 5.9 liter engine, coolant leaks are most likely to occur where the hoses connect to the engine. The video above shows you where the coolant reservoir, hoses and connections on your 1997 Ram 2500 Base are located and the steps needed to fix minor leaks. A few things to note about coolant is that it is sweet tasting and highly toxic, so it can end up in the dog's stomach pretty quickly. If you ignore a small coolant leak long enough, you will run out of coolant, which leads to an overheated engine and other serious, but highly avoidable, problems. In many 1994-7 Ram 2500s, an anti-freeze leak can cause the temp sensor to record high engine temperatures. Always protect yourself with safety glasses and gloves when working with the coolant on your Ram 2500.
