When I drive on the highway, the soft top of my jeep starts to come undone around my doors. Any idea why? And how to fix it?

seems like all jeeps have water leaks wind noise and soft top problems there out the door at our dealer. big surprise guess what company owns them. There might be a recall or tsb on the issue call you dealer and see. im not the chrylser guy at our dealer but i see ours working on tops constantly is why i say it might be a tsb of some sort.

Its just something you need to live with having a soft top. Just got rid of mine for a hardtop and i dont miss it. the only thing i can tell you is make sure the door surrounds are good, that when you pull the latches down to secure it to the windshield see if you can get them tighter

The same thing happened to me when I got my Jeep, but then I realized I wasn't putting the windows properly into the slot in the back door. They actually curl around the support piece so that the very outer edge slots into the groove then the middle piece lays against the door jam and then the window portion lays flat so you can zip the rest of the window up. It's hard to explain but it's actually a three sided connection with the out side wrapping around the support piece. I've attached a picture (not sure if it will help I'm such a lovely artist LOL) otherwise go to your local Jeep dealership and they will be able to help you. The entire soft top snaps into the grooves along the sides and the doors to lock them into place and you won't have any flapping. Hope this helps.

Mine starts rattling like a tin can with the top on at around 50. The half doors (top) start bowing out.

Oddly enough I found that at 60 mph the soft top blows out above my 2010 2 door Sahara JK. The only fix I have found is roll the back window up and the front windows down 1-2" to equalized the pressure inside with outside. You will notice the top over your head either bulging out or pressure down. Adjust the windows to get it fluttering. Save up you money and buy a hard top, that's my next TRUE fix.

You should work for Jeep !!! none of the install instructions I found explained that... Great JOB!!!
