Is the transmission from 08 335i compatible with the engine of
the 08 528i?

It's usually best to go with what the vehicle was designed for . Replacing an old worn tranny with an old worn tranny doesn't make sense .

It is not the same unfortunately. You will need to find the transmission from a 528i.
