2019 Ford Fusion Hybrid Battery Coolant Loss

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Service Mgr tried to tell me that it was normal for the coolant to wear out &
evaporate! How would this condition effect battery life?

The system only holds a Qt but was well below the MIN line,where would it have gone?

It was not ridicule, is it the coolant or transmission fluid? Have the fluids topped off, watch for leaks and enjoy your car. Perhaps listen to the service manager.

it is coolant,separate from the engine coolant, the transmission is a CVT so i do not know that there is fluid. Also, you can not just top off coolant without knowing if it is compatible with what's already in there and THAT's what they did at the dealer I bought it from. Now I have to take to FORD to have it all flushed. The service manager there was a lot better.

The small coolant system is for the hybrid system and as you said, it doesn't hold much. In this case the Ford dealer was the best place to take it.
