99 VW Beetle ABS beeping

Not sure what model it is but her ABS light recently came on and now it beeps every now and then any ideas or thoughts would be nice.

Could be one of your brake sensors are defective (mounted on the wheel assembly)

Yes... please pull the trouble codes first. Keep in mind most generic OBD2 scanners or readers may not work with VW/Audi vehicles. They may have to be specifically designed to or have VAGCOM software.
