Could be a bad fuel pump, ford used a mechanical fuel pump that goes into the engine block and also has the filter attached.
It should looklike the picture, also here a link to the part but your local auto parts store should also carry it in stock. You could try cleaning out the fuel filter and see if the fixes the no fuel issue as well. http://www.partsgeek.com/gbproducts/DC/15288-07177007.html?utm_content=DN&utm_term=1959-1960%2C+1962-1966+Ford+Thunderbird+Mechanical+Fuel+Pump+Carter+59-60%2C+62-66+Ford+Mechanical+Fuel+Pump+1965&utm_source=google&utm_medium=ff&utm_campaign=PartsGeek+Google+Base&gclid=CO7-zuK5zcICFeLm7Aod6WMALg
I wouldn't try to clean the fuel filter... just replace it. they're cheap
New question in this area... The fuel filter canister is surrounded by other components,..I can not get a hand grip on the filter unit and the rubber assist tool that helps with oil filter is way too big as well.. . Is there a special tool available to remove a fuel filter canister without damaging it so I can change the fuel filter on my 1966 T-Bird?
