It depends on a lot. Does it run? What's the interior like? Smoker driven? A/C work? Any window leaks? Slider in the back? Trailer hookups? It really depends on a lot of things. Did you keep good records of service repairs? That truck's 35 years old (I graduated in '78!) and to the right person, it could be worth a mint...
If it runs and operates, and the rust you mention is only superficial, the value could be as high as $2500. But if the bed is messed up, the seats torn, the 351W running rough, the value drops to $1500 maybe lower depending on the paint. Nice truck though- things are just slow, economically, and gas prices are high.
You have to find the right buyer. The truck is old enough to be classified as an antique, plus pickups are fairly easy to disessblble, Two men can usually lift the bed off the frame, with three removing the cab. The 351 was a nice engine, but a gas guzzler, even when running top notch. Advertise it as in good shape and a extremely good vehicle for restoration. A hobbiest will probably pick it up. But as stated before, if the interior has rot (not just in need of replacement) and offensive odors are present, like mold, don't expect much.
