Cambridge, MA (August 27, 2015) -- With the school year just kicking off, parents nationwide are preparing for an uptick in the number of hours spent driving children to and from after-school activities. CarGurus, a leading automotive shopping site, today issued its list of Top Family-Friendly Kid-Haulers, each with attributes that make shuttling the family more comfortable and convenient. These new models are all highly rated for safety and offer plenty of cargo space, seating capacity, cabin comforts and a host of modern technology features.

“For families with school-age children, finding a vehicle that balances safety and reliability with space, comfort and convenience is important,” said Steve Halloran, Chief Editor at CarGurus. “To eliminate guesswork for shoppers, we’ve identified the vehicles that best meet these specific criteria and also offer bonus features that will make time spent shuttling the kids a little more pleasant.”

According to a recent CarGurus online poll of car shoppers with school-age kids, 38% estimate they spend between 30 minutes and an hour a day in their car with kids on a typical weekday, while 33% say they spend more than an hour.
